Hello! Today’s card uses a techique that I saw Jennifer McGuire use, which she calls Faux Textured Metal Paper. There is a video and lots of examples in her blog post. I liked the soft blending in Kristina Werner’s recent card and so used the same colours on this card. I used painters tape to mask the border on my card, but forgot to get rid some of the stickiness of the tape, and so when I removed the tape, some of the card came with it. I was able to retrieve it though, by cutting the piece down. I need lots more practice with blending, but this technique, by using the Perfect Pearls and then embossing it, disguised some of my blending shortcomings.
I have a lot of embossing folders that I don’t use very often, so I think I’ll be using this technique more often. I had never used this Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Twisted Hearts before. The Hugs Die is from Papertrey Ink Big Hugs and the hearts are from Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes.
