Hello! These two photos highlight the difference using a powder tool or bag makes when heat embossing. I used the Simon Says Stamp Lattice Grid Background stamp on both cards, but forgot to prep the cardstock in the one on the right before I stamped the image. Needless to say, I did remember to prep the one on the left!
I used to have a powder bag, but it was so old that the powder didn’t puff out anymore and it just didn’t work well. I found this video, which suggests using White Clay to make your own anti-static bag. I live in Australia as well and so I was also able to find it in my local health food shop. I decided to just spoon some of the powder into a smaller container and use a make up brush to apply it the cardstock. It is a bit messy, because you end up with extra powder on your work surface, but as you can see from the card on the left, it does a great job.
